Cebu has officially secured its place as one of the best BPO spots in the world. With its thriving metropolis and friendly people, it’s not surprising that companies started to branch out their offices. In the previous year, Cebu placed 8th among the top Call Center destinations in the world, edging out from the other Philippine locations such as Davao, Laguna and Bacolod. And soon, a P6B BPO hub will rise in Lahug which can easily add 38,000 jobs in the mentioned site!
It’s evident to see BPO pioneers such as Sykes and Convergys and powerhouses like JP Morgan Chase, 24/7 and Accenture to call Cebu its second home. And these companies only hire exceptional talents and Cebuanos have proven they can match their counterparts here in Metro Manila. People from the Visayan region are actually flexible and articulate in the English language. For those who are wondering if the regional accent is evident, the answer is a big NO. They are more comfortable speaking in English than in Filipino.
One glimpse in the famous IT Park reminds me of Eastwood City in Libis and I dare say in a few years, it can definitely rival the skylines of Makati and Fort Bonifacio.
Here at Infinit3 Solutions, we are not only fortunate to get front seat views of this action but also to actively participate in it!
